Canada/Charlevoix RCM invests $32,340 in project development
The Conseil des maires is awarding $32,340 to three projects through its Cultural Development Agreement, its Fonds de développement des entreprises en économie sociale (FDEÉS) and its Fonds local d'investissement (FLI).
Les Moulins de L'Isle-aux-Coudres
The $206,000 investment project consists of renewing the two permanent exhibitions on the theme of Nourishing: Cultivating our Identity. The mandate was awarded to the Société du Réseau Économusée (SRÉ) for the development and implementation of new content and interpretive media (physical and digital).The organization aims to renew its cultural offer, upgrade its technological supports, develop an educational program and increase the number of visitors. The Conseil des maires is providing $6,867 in non-repayable funding from the Fonds de développement des entreprises en économie sociale (FDEÉS) and $3,433 in interest-free loans from the Fonds local d'investissement (FLI). These investments will help consolidate 12 jobs.
The $25,750 investment project is divided into two components: upgrading the three cottages and improving the infrastructure.The upgrades will stabilize these chalets for the next 40 years, thereby ensuring the longevity of the buildings, which are essential to cross-country skiing and snowshoeing activities. Les Vallons des Éboulements is an asset for the Municipality of Les Éboulements and the Charlevoix region. With an affordable offer, they promote outdoor sports in winter and improve the population's healthy lifestyle habits. The Council of Mayors is providing $10,000 in non-repayable funding from the Fonds de développement des entreprises en économie sociale (FDEÉS) and $5,000 in interest-free funding from the Fonds local d'investissement (FLI).
Municipality of Saint-Urbain | Découvre ton village
The Council of Mayors is granting $7,040 in assistance to the Municipality of Saint-Urbain as part of the Découvre ton village project under its Cultural Development Agreement. Specifically, the MRC's contribution will be used to produce a series of video vignettes on various cultural components of the municipality for students at Dominique-Savio school.The initiative aims to develop the students' sense of belonging and pride in being part of this dynamic and distinctive community.

The Local Investment Fund (LIF) enhances the assistance provided by the FDEÉS to increase the financing of a social economy project by granting a five-year interest-free loan.
Under theCultural Development Agreement with the Ministère de la Culture et des Communications, the envelope for local initiatives supports cultural development and heritage enhancement projects submitted by non-profit organizations and municipalities. These projects must correspond to one or more of the axes of intervention of the cultural policy of the MRC.
