Canada/Bonaventure by-elections to be held on November 10

By-elections will be held in Bonaventure on November 10 to fill the positions of mayor and councillors #5 and #6.

People wishing to become candidates can do so between September 27 and October 11.

Advance voting will take place on November 3.

Bonaventure mayor Roch Audet resigned on June 4, bringing his third term to an abrupt end.

At the time, he indicated that he no longer felt he had the support he needed to continue, either from the municipal council or from the general public.

Two other councillors, Molly Bujold and David Roy, stepped down a month later, citing personal reasons.
