Africa Waste Consulting organized a training session in Bouandougou on waste management, at the initiative of the Bouandougou sub-prefect, Juste Tué Bi Marcel, during the first sub-prefecture council meeting of the year.

The sub-prefect emphasized the importance of waste in environmental, health and social issues. He urged residents to adopt responsible behavior and actively contribute to this approach, in line with President Alassane Ouattara's vision.

The training course, held on April 15 and 16, 2025, was designed to enhance participants' skills, impart practical knowledge and encourage a lasting change in attitudes to waste management.

According to Africa Waste Consulting's Project Manager, N'zo Annick, "everything can be transformed". She explained that waste represents wealth thanks to the circular economy. The training enabled participants to understand the economic opportunities and risks associated with waste.

At the end of the training, 24 women were selected to become awareness-raising agents, and 24 men were appointed as waste pre-collection agents.
