Belgium/Charleroi: a round table discussion on housing
Around a hundred local players, all active in Charleroi's housing sector, took part in a round table discussion on Thursday, organized by the municipal authorities.
The aim is to take stock of the overall housing situation, list the problems and issues at stake and build bridges between all the players involved.
Ultimately, the idea is to draw up a concerted program of actions to improve housing in Charleroi.
Alongside the heads of associations, a justice of the peace, social workers and social housing managers, citizens were also invited to take part in the round table and put forward their observations and demands.
This day for the city is seen rather as a starting point for a wide-ranging reflection that should lead to the development of an action plan supported by as many players in the field as possible.
