The aim of the campaign is to raise awareness among children, especially those new to school, and their parents of the risks involved in road accidents, a Civil Protection press release said on Wednesday.

"Prevention and raising awareness among parents, who are the first educators of children's road safety, of the dangers associated with traffic accidents remain a priority", notes the same source.children "are little aware of the dangers that threaten them", hence the need to "teach them about road safety".

The Civil Protection also reminds parents of "the basic road safety recommendations to explain to their children to protect them from the risks of road accidents".
