SOLIDARITES INTERNATIONAL is looking for an intern whose mission will be to assist the Purchasing and Supply Officer and the Purchasing Manager of the Logistics Department in the execution of tasks related to the purchase and transport of materials for the various missions of Solidarités International; to provide support to the logistics departments of the missions

The tasks to be carried out are transversal and therefore require autonomy, rigour and versatility. Knowledge of, or at least a desire to understand, the humanitarian environment and its constraints is essential.
The tasks described in this advert are likely to evolve according to the projects in progress at headquarters and according to needs.

Main objectives of the internship:
- To assist the procurement officer in the purchase of equipment for the missions;
- Ensure the proper application of IS and donor procedures during the procurement process;
- Know the different programs and areas of expertise of Solidarités International;
- Knowledge of purchasing and transport issues in the humanitarian environment;
- Master the tools related to purchasing and transport;
- Master the internal procedures of Solidarités and the procedures of the main humanitarian aid donors;
- Ensure the link and circulation of information between the different interlocutors (desk, headquarters, field, donors).

Main tasks :
- Assist the Supply Officer in the management of mission orders in accordance with Solidarités International procedures;
- Receive goods arriving at the association's headquarters;
- Update the order database;
- Prepare the transport of parcels for all material leaving with the expatriates;
- Prepare all documents related to the transport by expatriates and/or air and sea transport;
- Follow up on expatriate departures;
- Follow up on products sent by the field for repair;
- Participation in various meetings involving the logistics department;
- Ensure the link with the other departments of the headquarters (HR, Logistic, Communication);
- Participate in the commercial links with the different suppliers.

Contributions of the internship:
- Discover the functioning of the headquarters of an NGO as well as the relations between the headquarters and the field;
- Discover the different jobs of Solidarités International at the head office and in the field;
- To have a first approach of the functioning of a mission and its specific constraints;
- Understand the relationships between the different humanitarian actors;
- Understand the requirements of donors;
- Master the supplier relationship
- Discover the concept of humanitarian aid transport
- Direct contact with the field via expatriates;
- Discover the strategy of an NGO and its development;
- Master the humanitarian issues of the Desk's countries, the analysis of priorities and the identification of needs.
- Master the procedures of Solidarités International and the main donors

Your profile
- Higher education (3 to 5 years of higher education), preferably in the field of supply chain and stock management, with knowledge of purchasing, transport and customs.
- Genuine interest and motivation for associations and humanitarian work - Willingness to work in the field
- International work experience appreciated
- Writing skills
- Critical and analytical mind, autonomy, rigor, reactivity, organization, efficiency, high work capacity
- Computer skills: Windows (Word, Excel, Power Point); Internet and e-mail (Outlook)
- Fluent English

Duration: 6 months, to be filled by 29 November 2021.

Status:
- Intern with mandatory internship agreement.
- Legal bonus of 554.40 € for 154 hours of presence (for 22 days of 7 hours/day).
- Public transport paid for 50 % by SOLIDARITES INTERNATIONAL
- Luncheon vouchers at 8.90 € / effective day of internship, with SOLIDARITES INTERNATIONAL participation at 60
