Mission to support capacity building of PISCCA actors and partners of the Espace Volontariats in Guinea

France Volontaires is looking for a volunteer to develop and implement a capacity building plan for PISCCA actors (innovative civil society projects and coalition of actors) and partners of the Espace de Volontariats in Guinea. Under the responsibility of the National Representative of France Volontaires in Guinea, the volunteer will also be responsible for providing support on aspects of coordination and project management. As such, he/she will be involved in various fields.

Main activities to be carried out :

Support to the FSPI PISCCA (60 % of the working time)
- Creation, organization and facilitation of project management training for CSOs supported by the PISCCA fund
- Organization and facilitation of workshops for the exchange of practices and experiences
- Accompanying project leaders in the technical and financial reporting of their projects
- Support and advice to project leaders and contribution to the implementation of the capacity building programme
- Realization of service contracts with project partners in conjunction with the SCAC "Civil Society" officer
- Participation in the communication of the projects monitored
- Monitoring and reporting on the PISCCA budget.

Support France Volontaires (40 % of the remaining time)
- Contribute to the implementation of EV activities: training workshops for EV partner structures;
- Identify EV partner structures and identify their training needs
- Implement a training plan in accordance with the identified needs;
- Strengthen the capacities of partner structures in training and exchange workshops in line with its competences;
- Identify French and national volunteers working in Guinea and identify their areas of expertise;
- Strengthen the capacities of partner structures in training and workshops in line with the skills of other volunteers and according to their availability;
- Accompany the young civic service volunteers in the implementation of micro-projects with the partners.
- To follow the PISCCA budget financed by the SCAC and to carry out the monthly memoirs in collaboration with the accounting assistant.

Main place of intervention:
Conakry, Offices of the Espace Volontariats in Guinea with occasional missions in the area of intervention of the PISCCA.

Usual working hours:
8:00 am to 12:30 pm and 2:00 pm to 5:30 pm from Monday to Friday. However, depending on emergencies, activities and missions, the volunteer will have to be available on weekends and work late at night.

Professional travel to be expected:
Taxi for personal travel and business travel paid for by EV.

Profile required

Desired training :

Master level in project management, international development or related fields.

Desired work experience:
- First experience in project management and training desired
- Field experience in a developing country particularly appreciated

- Solid knowledge of the project cycle
- Very good interpersonal skills and ability to adapt
- Taking initiative
- Experience in the creation of communication and training tools
- Interest in gender and sustainable development issues
- Essential human qualities: strong adaptability, social skills, ability to work in a multicultural team, autonomy, taking initiative.

The volunteer will be working in a different cultural context and will therefore have to show patience, humility and diplomacy especially in the dialogue with Guineans and volunteers. The volunteer must have good interpersonal skills. Discretion is also a necessary quality to build trust. The volunteer will take care of the image of l'Espace Volontariats (France Volontaires) during his/her formal or informal contacts with the various partners and other volunteers.

Desired languages and level :
French required. English preferred.

Conditions of the VSI contract
- Status of Volunteer for International Solidarity (law of 2005);
- Installation allowance and resettlement allowance on return;
- Monthly subsistence allowance: this allowance does not have the character of a salary or remuneration and allows the mission to be accomplished in decent living conditions;
- Social security coverage (complementary mutual insurance, repatriation insurance, old age insurance).
- Provision of accommodation ;
- Travel expenses 1 return trip between the place of residence and the place of assignment.
