France/La Chaussée-Saint-Victor: twinning committee membership on the rise

The twinning committee, which brings together the towns of Ochtendung in Germany and Aylsham in England, held its general meeting on Thursday November 20, 2025 in the Salle de l'Atelier, chaired by Claude Gillard and attended by Stéphane Baudu, mayor of La Chaussée-Saint-Victor, Marie-Claude Dupou, first deputy mayor, and Yves Balderas, deputy mayor for communications and cultural events.

Membership currently stands at 55, and is growing, as Stéphane Baudu points out. " Certain activities will be reviewed with a view to limiting expenditure ", says Claude Gillard. " From now on, German lessons will be given in the form of conversation at 2:30 p.m. on Mondays, lasting 1 h 30, while English lessons will remain unchanged. The cost of membership is €17 per person.

Stays set

Projects for 2025/2026 are numerous: on Saturday December 6, 2025, an oyster or shrimp tasting is organized at l'Atelier at noon. It will be open to the public and 30% of the proceeds will be donated to the Telethon. Registration is open until November 28. Scrabble evenings in English, German and French take place on Friday evenings at 7 p.m. at l'Atelier, on January 9February 13 and March 13; the Repair Café will be present all day on April 11 from from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., to help and, if possible, repair household, DIY and gardening appliances.The trip to Germany will take place from May 13 to May 17; the reception of our English friends is scheduled for May 26 to May 31.

Renewal of the outgoing third of the Board of Directors: J. Auger, J.-M. Bergère, E. Cogny, C. Doliveux, L. Leblond, M. Martinez, G. Rossignol and J. de Sarrazin, Patricia Moreau having decided to retire.
