Vietnam/ VNA strengthens cooperation with media from Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan

The Vietnam News Agency (VNA) has signed cooperation agreements with its counterparts in Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan, aimed at improving information efficiency and strengthening the strategic partnership newly agreed by the leaders of the two sides.

The agreements were signed as part of the state visit by Vietnamese Communist Party General Secretary Tô Lâm to the two countries from May 5 to 8.

On May 6, at the Akorda Presidential Palace in Astana, in the presence of General Secretary Tô Lâm and President Kassym-Jomart Tokaïev, Vu Viêt Trang, Managing Director of the VNAand Raushan Kazhibayeva, Director General of the Radio and Television Complex of the Office of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan (TRC), exchanged a cooperation agreement between the two agencies.

According to this document, the two parties will exchange information, train human resources in the application of new communication technologies, and exchange journalistic experience in the digital age.

During their visit to the TRC headquarters, Vu Viêt Trang and Raushan Kazhibayeva stressed the importance of implementing the agreement to foster mutual understanding between the peoples of the two countries and promote bilateral cooperation, in accordance with the declaration of the TRC.cooperation, in line with the joint statement issued during the state visit of Secretary General Tô Lâm.

Vu Viêt Trang also inquired about TRC's multimedia production process, and its use of artificial intelligence to create diversified and attractive information products.

On May 7, in Baku, Azerbaijan, Vu Viêt Trang and the President of the Azerbaijan State News Agency (AZERTAC), Vugar Alyev, signed an agreement on cooperation in the new period. The two parties agreed to strengthen the exchange of content in various formats to disseminate official information on the situation in each country.

During the meeting held on May 8, the heads of the two news agencies discussed specific areas of cooperation, including digital transformation, the development of modern journalistic skills, the development of new technologies and the development of new media.and active collaboration in multilateral frameworks such as the Asia-Pacific News Agencies Organization (APNO) and the Shusha Global Media Forum.

Both parties agreed to effectively evaluate the results of their first cooperation agreement, signed in 2014.
