A departmental steering committee for the "Human Security in Gbêkê" project was set up on Thursday 27 October 2022 in Sakassou by its coordinator, Scandia Toyo.

Created by prefectural decree on October 21, 2022, this committee is composed of heads of public and private services, members of the prefectural corps and the notability of Walèbo, as well as elements of the security forces.s, members of the prefectural body and the notability of Walèbo as well as elements of the security forces. Its mission is to translate into concrete action the objective of the project "Integrated Support for Local Development Management, Promotion of Peaceful Societies and Development of the Local Economy.The project is financed by the United Nations Development Fund for Women (UNIFEM) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).
