French Polynesia

The State supports associations in Polynesia and announces in a press release the launch of the 2021 call for projects of the Fund for the Development of Associative Life (FDVA) until 15 March 2021.

The call for projects FDVA 2021 is open in French Polynesia to support the development of associative life through 3 priorities:

  • Axis 1: Training of volunteers and associative leaders;
  • Axis 2: The global financing of the activity of an association;
  • Axis 3: The implementation of new projects or activities.

An allocation of 20 million Fcfp is planned for this purpose.

In this perspective, on Thursday 21 January, Guy Fitzer, Administrator, Head of the administrative subdivisions of the Windward and Leeward Islands, representing the High Commissioner of the Republic, chaired the territorial commission of the fund for the development of associative life (FDVA) in order to be able to proceed with the assessment of the FDVA 2020, as well as the launch of the FDVA 2021 campaign.

The exchanges allowed the members present (representatives of State services, of the Country, of the associative movements, of the communes and of the joint management fund) to bring their proposals on the 2021 orientation note which was validated.

This year, the timetable has been brought forward in order to give project leaders more time to implement the actions that will be selected.

Associations are invited to submit their applications before midnight on 15 March 2021 to the Mission d ' appui technique jeunesse et sport - MATJS (sylvie.cammas@jeunesse.gov.pf).

The services of the Office of the High Commissioner (MATJS) are mobilized to answer questions and assist association leaders in the preparation of their applications.

In 2020, 36 associations covered by the Act of 1 July 1901 received a budget of 20 million Fcfp for 50 projects in the following areas: social / solidarity / integration, environment, sport, culture / heritage, youth / popular education / sociocultural, agriculture / livestock / animal protection, education / training, leisure / social life, health.
