Benin/Closing Fashion Month 2025 in style: Creative excellence celebrated in Cotonou
The curtain fell this weekend in Cotonou on the 7th edition of the Month of Fashion, an initiative supported by the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and the Arts through the Arts and Culture Development Agency. The event, which over the years has become a major showcase for Beninese fashion, ended with a high-profile fashion show highlighting the richness, diversity and ingenuity of local designers.
Young designers, established fashion houses, models and artisans from the fashion value chain were all on hand to make this final event a true tribute to Beninese know-how. The collections presented, imbued with originality and modernity, confirmed the vitality of a sector in full mutation.
Beyond the festive aspect, this edition above all testified to the government's determination to raise the cultural and creative industries to a higher level of organization and professionalization, in line with its vision of development through culture.
Between exhibitions, training courses, masterclasses, business meetings and creative showcases, Fashion Month 2025 ended on a note of shared satisfaction, reaffirming the national ambition to make Beninese fashion a strategic economic and identity lever.
