France

On Tuesday May 13, Pierre Martin and Christophe Bonnet, representatives of the Fédération française du bâtiment (FFB) and the Confédération de l'artisanat et des petites entreprises (Capeb) du Gard, together with Jean Denat, vice-president of the Petite Camargue Community of Communes (CCPC) housing and lifestyle policy commission, officially signed the partnership agreements for the Opération programmée d'amélioration de l'habitat et de Renouvellement urbain.

The FFB represents 35,000 craftsmen for whom it acts as spokesperson, informs and assists them to ensure professional solidarity, and sets the construction cost index. The Capeb supports craft businesses and offers them services to help them grow.

Help for craftsmen and companies

Christophe Bonnet confides: "We help craftsmen and small businesses to respond to invitations to tender, which is sometimes complicated, as they have to fill in important paperwork, and they often need help. "They all agreed with the vice-president, Jean Denat, on the importance of renovating old town centers so that they don't become impoverished and, on the contrary, are enhanced, he explains: "these agreements are signed to get local craft businesses working so that everyone benefits; we have a year ahead of us to renovate town centers and preserve old trades, they preserve heritage through old gestures and techniques, it's a plus heritage preservation."

The schedule of meetings for the five communes of the community is set for the first Friday of the month for the Capeb, i.e. June 6, and for the FFB for the second Friday of the month, i.e. June 13, and so on until the end of 2025 at the CCPC head office, 145, avenue de la Condamine 30600 Vauvert. Tel. 04 66 51 19 20.
