Morocco/National Children's Day: Meeting on the integrated territorial child protection system at the Prefecture of Casablanca-Anfa

The revitalization of the integrated territorial child protection system was the focus of a communication meeting held on Thursday at the Prefecture of the Casablanca-Anfa districts.

This meeting, organized on the occasion of the National Day of the Child, is part of the Ministry of Solidarity, Social Integration and the Family's efforts to finalize integrated territorial child protection schemes in line with the objectives of the second national executive programthe objectives of the second national executive program (2023/2026) of integrated public policies for child protection, with the support of UNICEF.

Speaking on the occasion, Awatif Hayar, Minister of Solidarity, Social Integration and the Family, emphasized that the current national context is characterized by a new dynamic and structural projects to support the social state and promote the conditions of social cohesion.She highlighted a number of projects and projects dedicated to children in our country.

She also pointed out that the implementation of the GISR concept developed by the Ministry using a participatory approach targets people in difficult situations, including children.

To achieve the desired objectives, the Ministry has set up integrated territorial child protection mechanisms aimed at strengthening child protection mechanisms, requalification, education, training, monitoring and evaluation, said the Minister.

Ms. Hayar also praised the efforts made by all stakeholders and players, which have led to the revitalization of integrated territorial child protection mechanisms in the majority of Morocco's prefectures and provinces.

She also pointed out that the new vision of integrated public policies for child protection, achieved with UNICEF support, is based on three axes: protection, prevention and well-being.

For his part, Aziz Dadas, Governor of the Casablanca-Anfa Prefecture, praised the great efforts made by all stakeholders to protect and promote children's rights.

In this context, Mr. Dadas underlined the importance of the integrated territorial mechanism for child protection, which constitutes an effective participatory mechanism.

For her part, the UNICEF representative in Morocco, Ms Speciose Hakizimana e, praised the efforts made by Morocco in the field of child protection, underlining that this program is the real concretization of all the efforts made and actions put in place.

In a statement to MAP, she also said that the integrated territorial child protection system is a decisive mechanism in this field.
