Switzerland

As part of the 2023-2024 Sustainability Incentive Program, the Federal Office for Spatial Development (ARE) supports projects that contribute to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the 2030 Agenda. This year, the focus is on SDG 11, which aims at sustainable cities and communities!

The Federal Office for Spatial Development (ARE) offers financial support for the launch of projects that contribute to and promote sustainable development and its three dimensions (society, economy and environment) through an incentive program.

This year, the organizers are looking for projects that promote SDG11 "Sustainable Cities and Communities". The theme "Sustainable Housing and Habitat" is broad and invites to address different aspects of sustainability: new forms of housing and adaptations to new demographic needs, inclusion and social cohesion, circular economy in construction or furniture, enhancing biodiversity in housing areas... the possibilities are multiple!

Do you have an innovative and replicable proposal? Whether you are a canton, a municipality, a city, a private actor or a public actor, take part in this competition by submitting your project by September 15, 2023. For further information and conditions of participation, please refer to the call for projects document on this page.
