The National Marine Spatial Development Plan is being developed with the aim of rapidly and sustainably developing clusters of maritime economic sectors.

The National Marine Spatial Development Plan is being developed with the aim of rapidly and sustainably developing maritime economic clusters to create strong maritime economy poles of the country by 2030.

With the Decision No. 892/QD-TTg of July 26, 2022, the Prime Minister approved the Project for the development of clusters of maritime economic sectors associated with the construction of strong maritime economy poles by 2030.

The project emphasizes the need to develop clusters of maritime economic sectors based on the development of the assets of each maritime zone and coastal area, to make effective use of marine means and resources in parallel with the protection of the environment.the protection of the environment, marine ecosystems, conservation of natural, cultural and historical heritage, while consolidating and strengthening the defense and security of maritime and island areas ...

The project sets out specific objectives, including striving to form about seven maritime economic clusters by 2030, developing three or four leading maritime economy clusters in Southeast Asia...

According to the draft, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment is responsible for taking the lead responsibility and coordinating the integration of the implementation of the project into the National Marine Spatial Plan and other marine-related programs and policies.

The Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment has sent the draft National Marine Spatial Plan to the relevant bodies to solicit their views and ideas. It is currently synthesizing the collected opinions and ideas to finalize the draft Plan
