The systematic obligation to wear a mask on the public highway is lifted, except

Evolution of capacity in clubs and discotheques.

Clubs and discotheques will be able to welcome the public within the limit of a capacity evolving from 50% to 75% of the maximum capacity. The wearing of masks is maintained indoors and outdoors.
As a reminder, dancing in all establishments open to the public is subject to a health pass and to the obligation to wear a mask.

End of free tests
As of October 15, RT-PCR tests and antigenic tests will no longer be systematically paid for, as has been the case since the beginning of the health crisis. Only tests carried out for screening purposes will henceforth be reimbursed by the Health Insurance in order to maintain a reliable system for monitoring the epidemic, to ensure rapid detection and management of cases and to detect new variants.

Thus, in order to maintain easy access to screening for symptomatic people or those in contact with people at risk, they will continue to be covered:

• People with a complete vaccination schedule or a contraindication to vaccination;
• Minors ;
• Persons identified in the context of contact-tracing carried out by the Health Insurance and the ARS La Réunion
• Persons concerned by collective screening campaigns organised by the ARS La Réunion or the national education system in schools
• Persons with a medical prescription;
• Persons with a certificate of recovery less than six months old.

A fee will be charged for tests carried out in order to obtain a health pass.

What has not changed

Wearing a mask is compulsory in establishments open to the public indoors
Wearing a mask remains compulsory in enclosed areas such as the workplace, shops, transport and in any covered gathering place, including those subject to the health pass. This obligation applies to all persons aged 11 and over.

Gatherings authorised in public areas up to a limit of 10 people
Gatherings, meetings or activities are authorised in public areas (beaches, leisure areas, parks and gardens) up to a limit of 10 people.

Picnics authorised up to a limit of 10 people
Picnics are authorised in the open air up to a limit of 10 people. Caution must of course be exercised in the context of friendly and family gatherings that are conducive to contamination chains.

Standing concerts
Standing concerts subject to a health pass are authorized within the limit of 75% of the capacity of the establishment in which it takes place.
Wearing a mask is compulsory indoors and outdoors.

Sports and cultural events subject to a health pass
Sports and cultural events subject to an authorisation and declaration procedure as well as cultural, sports, recreational or festive events are subject to a health pass.

Festive gatherings are restricted
Catering services, the hiring of tents and marquees for private individuals and the transport of sound equipment are still not permitted.

Ban on the consumption of alcohol on the public highway
The consumption of alcoholic beverages remains prohibited on the public highway and in places accessible to the public.

Support for businesses

Support measures (solidarity fund, partial activity, and exemption from social security contributions) are evolving with the recovery of economic activity.
The solidarity fund set up to help companies particularly affected by the consequences of the Covid-19 epidemic and by the containment measures will cease to exist as of October and will be replaced by the "fixed costs" scheme. Applications for previous months remain open until 31 October 2021.
This system will make it possible to respond to the late recovery of certain sectors by compensating for fixed costs:

• 90% of fixed charges not covered by revenues for companies with less than 50 employees and
• 70% for firms with more than 50 employees

Aid in the form of repayable advances, subsidized loans and exceptional equity loans, set up to meet the cash flow and investment needs of companies weakened by the Covid-19 health crisis, remains active until December 31. Applications must be submitted before 15 November.

The Equity Loan for Recovery (PPR), which provides leverage for companies with development projects that need to strengthen their solvency , is now active.

The common law regime of partial activity (40% remainder to be paid by the company) will be applied to all sectors as of September 1, 2021.

Companies in sectors S1 and S1bis that are still subject to health restrictions such as gauges or that have a loss of turnover of more than 80% will continue to benefit from a zero remainder charge.

The state-guaranteed loan set up to support very small and small businesses will continue until 31 December.

Health recommendations

The prefecture and the ARS remind all the people of Reunion of the need to :

  • at least 10 days when contaminated by Covid-19,
  • at least 7 days if you are a contact case.

• Do not delay vaccination or wait 2 months if you have been infected:

Given the increased risk of exposure and infection with Covid-19, the HAS recommends the administration of a booster dose to professionals in the health and medico-social sector, in contact with patients and among health transport professionals.

To reinforce the protection of the most vulnerable persons against Covid-19, the HAS reTo reinforce the protection of the most vulnerable to Covid-19, the HAS reaffirms the so-called "cocooning" strategy, by recommending a booster dose in adults aged over 18 years, in the entourage of immunocompromised persons.
These people are invited to go to a vaccination centre or to their doctor, pharmacist or nurse:
