Benin

"To understand the process of developing the plan and mechanism for research and mobilization of financial resources for the Banikoara City Council and to internalize/adopt the good experiences observed in this municipality", this is the objective of an exchange visit between a delegation of the Dogbo City Council and the communal actors of Banikoara. The work started on Thursday 16 September in the deliberation room with a scoping session in the presence of all members of the communal executive.

During this mission led by Sognon Marcellin, first deputy mayor of Dogbo, "working sessions will mobilize all the actors involved in the exchange visit around the selected themes. A presentation will be made each time by the person in charge of the town hall concerned on which a debate of understanding will take place through questions and answers and if possible through direct observations in the field. The sessions will be moderated by a resource person. Visits to resource collection sites will eventually be organized as part of this mission to enable participants to get a feel for the practical realities relating to the proper coordination of development actions in the Commune. »

For Mayor Bio Sarako Tamou, the choice made by the Dogbo town hall to draw inspiration from the experience of Banikoara is an honour for the communal council and the communal agents. Certainly, the municipal authority maintains, "no one has an infallible science. It is by dint of seeing what is happening elsewhere that we manage to improve and achieve a certain number of performances. "
"It is also a pleasure for us to be in Banikoara because in terms of resource mobilization in Banikoara, it is an example to copy and follow. "For his part, the first deputy mayor of Dogbo, Sognon Marcellin said.
