France/Dordogne: Regional aid for the local economy

Large companies and the tourism sector in the Dordogne receive subsidies from the Regional Council.

The Vilgo company in Creysse (Dordogne) is expanding by adding to its machine park to manufacture medical equipment such as rest chairs with lighter aluminium products. The Region is contributing 107,480 euros. Also in Bergerac, the company Eurenco (ex-Poudrerie) is developing a new product with a green formulation: Itar free ethyl cellulose for applications in the pharmaceutical industry, such as the manufacture of capsules, but also LED or plasma television screens. To adapt its production unit, the company is receiving 271,358 euros in funding.

In the tourism sector, the company Kléber Rossillon is receiving a €100,000 boost to modernise the reception and accessibility of the Château de Castelnaud, which receives more than 200,000 visitors per year . The village of Le Bournat in Le Bugue is investing in its market hall, its fairground and the security of the site. The Region is providing 67,512 euros in subsidies. At the Hôtel du Château in Campagne, the creation of four apartments to house seasonal workers is receiving 34,385 euros in aid. They will be rented for 13 euros per day.

Circular economy

In the circular economy, the family company Til in Saint-Pierre de Frugie, which makes organic cosmetics from local lime trees, is receiving €50,000 in start-up aid. The Tricycle enchanté association, one of the pioneers in the reuse of objects in the Dordogne, based in Bourdeilles, is receiving a grant of 75,000 euros to create a recycling centre for building materials. The Larue sawmill in Sainte-Trie is receiving 72,958 euros in aid to buy a debarking line. The company Sirmet transport logistique in Boulazac has received 31,200 euros in aid to buy three trucks running on natural gas.

Finally, in the cultural sector, the commune of Saint-Martial-d'Artenset is receiving 50,000 euros for the creation of a citizens' centre. The Melkior Theatre of Bergerac is supported with 48,000 euros and the Lilo Theatre of Mensignac receives 22,500 euros for its upcoming productions.
